CANNING COLLEGE FOR BEGINNERS CLASS I

Are you a first time canner? Have you thought about learning to can Jams, Jellies, Vegetables or other foods? Would you like to learn the basics of canning? Then plan to attend this summer's Canning College held at Moss' Florist & Garden Center in Mt. Juliet.  The classes will be taught by Shelly Barnes, MS, CFLE.  She is our FCS Extension Agent in Wilson County.  Pre-registration and pre-payment of class fee is required.  The Canning College is limited to 8 participants.  Participants will take home various items they have canned in both workshops.  Charge for Canning College is $25.00 per class which includes supplies for class, one product of each recipe for student, copy of University of Tennessee Extension publication, Canning Foods, and valuable information.  Make checks payable to: UT Extension.  Deadline for Pre-Registration and Pre-Payment is the Friday before each class.

Class I: Water Bath Canning Fruits, on Tuesday July 20 at 1:00 pm

Class II: Water Bath and Pressure Canning Vegetables, on Tuesday July 27 at 1:00 pm

This is a workshop so please come dressed to cook!
